About Us

In 1974, a tiny little kitchen started selling omelettes to locals and tourists in historic downtown Truckee, California. At just 10 feet, 3 inches wide, and with only 39 seats, guests would literally have to ‘squeeze in’ to enjoy their breakfast at the little restaurant. The popularity and community love for this little restaurant grew and grew, making it a staple for locals and tourists alike.

Gary & Misty Young, from Reno, would often make it a family outing with their daughters Kay & Shila, up to Truckee to eat at the restaurant. They had a dream of eventually owning the Squeeze In. In 2003, that dream became a reality. Since then, the business and family have grown, but the Squeeze In vibe has stayed the exact same. The popularity has grown even more through the Squeeze In’s various features on the Food Network, in Forbes Magazine, CBS News, the New York Times and locally in the Reno-Gazette Journal and the Sparks Tribune.

We look forward to having the pleasure of serving you and thank you for taking the time to visit!
