Sierra Senior Services, the local Meals on Wheels provider, supports older adults in remaining healthy, independent, and connected, which is essential to the stability of our community. The Truckee Chamber of Commerce strengthens this work by fostering collaboration between nonprofits and local businesses, helping create a resilient Truckee where business stability and quality of life go hand in hand.

The direction of this Chamber is both exciting and promising. They have a strong and planned out map to supporting businesses in so many ways along with a commitment to energizing our community. Through the Chamber, I was invited to speak on AI at a Lunch and Learn, where I shared my expertise with local business owners and contributed to the broader business community. I have also received direct client inquiries through my Chamber website listing, and the mixers continue to be a great way to build relationships and stay connected within Truckee’s business community.

Because the Town of Truckee does not issue business licenses, there can be a natural gap in direct communication between the Town and our business community. The Truckee Chamber of Commerce plays a critical role in bridging that gap. More than a communication channel, the Chamber serves as a trusted partner that helps streamline and elevate the voice of local businesses, ensuring the Town receives clear, organized, and actionable input. At the same time, the Chamber’s leadership closely tracks Town actions and updates, thoughtfully filtering and sharing the most relevant information with its members. This two-way connection helps ensure the Town can provide targeted, meaningful support to our business community and strengthens collaboration across Truckee as a whole.

As a long-time member, the Truckee River Watershed Council is grateful for the Truckee Chamber’s role in amplifying local nonprofit voices. The Truckee Chamber provides great resources and does a good job facilitating sharing knowledge within the community. I am grateful for the Truckee Chamber co-hosting to the North Lake Tahoe Truckee Leadership program. One of the things I admire most about Chamber is its inclusive vision. Far from a myopic "special interest" group, Chamber leadership and individual members are constantly offering innovative programming to welcome everyone in our community, especially our youth, into the local business community.
