About Us

The approach to Silver Peak from Hwy 89 can make for a solid day of travel and a bit more feel of adventure with 2,400 feet of climbing over about 3 miles getting there. Standing on the summit is striking and, contrasting the solitude, are the views below you of skiers gliding along the runs of Squaw Valley USA. There are a few truly great lines down from Silver Peak, most notably the East Bowl and North Face. As always, remember your avalanche avoidance and safe travel practices since you will certainly see some terrain where avalanches can and do occur travelling in the zone. This is a touch of a heartier local tour that rewards those willing to make the effort.
