About Us

Truckee Donner Horsemen "TDH" is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1962 in Truckee, California whose purpose is to sponsor, cultivate, and foster an interest in horses and horsemanship throughout the Truckee, Tahoe, and Greater Sierra areas of the State of California. Truckee offers an astonishing number of recreational opportunities in which to partake, all located in the beauty of the Sierra Mountains. Truckee's rich history began as a rural mountain town with logging, stagecoach stops, and horses. Truckee Donner Horsemen endeavors to preserve, promote, and expand our historic and rich equestrian lifestyle. We offer horse-related events, activities, and opportunities for volunteering within the local community.
