Public Art - Bridging Communities

About Us

Building Communities is a public art project that includes original pieces of the East Span of the San Francisco Bay Bridge. It is now the Kids Train Platform located at Truckee Regional Park and was the brainchild of Anton “Toni” Standteiner of Mountain Forge, who was one of 12 artist applicants of 50 who was was awarded the steel.

Toni's idea and hard work became a collaboration of many, including the Truckee Donner Railroad Society and many hours of work and expertise donated by members of the Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe (CATT).
