Martis Creek Wildlife Area Trail is a 4.1 mile easy to moderate hiking loop through meadows. It is a dirt trail alongside the creek but features a wood platform over the creek and marsh.
The trail is located off of HWY-267 in Truckee just south of Martis Dam Road (heading toward Northstar). In the spring and early summer the trail features beautiful wildflowers.
The trail can have some very muddy spots in the spring and is not accessible once it snows due to parking issues (there is no parking on HWY-267). Dogs are allowed on this trail but must be kept on leash.
