About Us

Jackson Meadow Reservoir offers excellent opportunities for boating, canoeing, water skiing, swimming and fishing. Anglers will find rainbow and brown trout. Hikers can take advantage of a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail which meanders along the east side of the lake.

There are nine Forest Service campgrounds located adjacent to and on both sides of the lake. Amoung them are two group campgrounds, a horse camp for equestrain users and a boat-in campground.

To get there, from I-80, take the Truckee/Highway 89 North exit. Follow Highway 89 north for 17 miles to the turnoff for Jackson Meadows. Travel west on Forest Road 07 for 18 miles to Jackson Meadows Reservoir.
