Cold Stream Alternative School

About Us

Cold Stream Alternative School serves primarily high school students and also middle school students in Truckee and Tahoe City. We offer an innovative program to meet the needs of families who want flexibility and independent study options.

Cold Stream is a fully accredited, WASC approved high school program. Classes and instruction are provided in Truckee, at North Tahoe Highs School, and at the Rideout Community Center building on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe.

We provide small class sizes and personal instruction along with a rigorous, yet flexible schedule that allows students to work from home or while traveling.
