Beerfest & Bluegrass Festival at Northstar

The 12th annual Beerfest & Bluegrass Festival lights up the Village at Northstar for the Independence Day weekend July 6-8 with roots jams, family mountain fun, and fresh brews. Pick up a souvenir tasting glass and enjoy crisp pours along with food stations boasting hand-crafted, relaxed summer fare. The festival plunges families into the mountains Friday, explores flavors and GRAMMY award winning music Saturday, followed by an alpine-style recovery on Sunday morning. A la carte experiences include:

• Run the Brewery: A family-friendly on-mountain brewery run Friday, July 6 kicks off a weekend of high-altitude hops. This 5K/10K race weaves through Northstar California’s alpine trail system with beer sampling for those of age.
• Pedal Before the Pour: Festival goers can take a mountain bike ride at the Northstar Bike Park and receive a discounted ticket to Beerfest. The Specialized Bike Academy is onsite in the Village for approachable lessons to guide riders through bumps and bends.
• Kid Zone Soda Walk: Kids of all ages (and the young at heart) enjoy a fully revamped family space featuring a Craft Soda Walk, face painting, a shady area with water misters for optimal relaxation, and a variety of hands-on activities.
• Mountaintop Mantra: On Sunday, reset and rejuvenate with a morning hike through the mountain and a recovery yoga class at the summit to find center amidst the weekend’s activities.

 
The weekend culminates with a Brewmaster dinner on Sunday evening at Martis Valley Grille. Northstar California’s Executive Chef Steve Anderson artfully pairs five courses of seasonally inspired dishes with craft beers. The partnering brewmaster leads diners through an al fresco flavor journey overlooking the sunset.
