A Deep Dive on Not Getting Lost - A Garmin/Caltopo Tech Night

Tahoe Mountain Sports is bringing their first tech night of the Spring to Truckee Philosophy for an evening of learning, practice, and fun!

Check out the new Garmin Forerunner series of GPS smartwatches with bluetooth technology and multisport settings. You can even store and listen to your music right from your watch.

We will go over how to create courses with the various Garmin Apps. Attendees will learn how to integrate their Strava, Caltopo and other programs while getting instruction on the most efficient setup of their Garmin device. Special attention will also be given to Garmin’s satellite communication devices like the InReach Mini and Explorer with experts on hand to explain how they work.

For the first time with TMS, we will have the founders of Caltopo on hand to talk about their amazing online platform. They will walk you through the basics of their program, go through the process of planning a route, show trip planning features and explain how to integrate with Garmin and other devices once you are out on the trail.

Attendees can bring their laptops and/or devices to follow along and each speaker will stick around afterwards to answer specific questions.
