Public Art - El Dragon

About Us

''El Dragon'' is part of the Truckee Artistic Bike Rack Project. It came to life with the help of Mountain Forge. Located at West End Beach on Donner Lake, it is based on the design of two second graders, Hope Smith and Florian Standteiner, who independently submitted Chinese dragon drawings for the bike rack design. It is meant to honor the Chinese who worked on the railroad in Truckee.
