Sierra Expeditionary Learning School Celebrates Better World Day!

Join Sierra Expeditionary Learning School (SELS) in celebrating Better World Day on Friday, May 4 by spreading kindness to various locations through Truckee. The day will kick off with our weekly community/student meeting, outside of the portables at SELS at 9:20 a.m. We are joining more than 50,000 EL Education students and teachers for Better World Day, a time to honor the power of students across the country to shape a more just future through their learning. Some of the things student will participate in:

• Dropping off baked goods to service employees (police station, fire station, Tahoe Forest nurses/doctors)
• Reading to dogs at the Humane Society
• Singing at the Senior Center and putting together potted plants to leave with the seniors
