Now in its 11th year, Fall Festival is Truckee?s premier family-friendly harvest celebration and one of Tahoe Donner?s largest events of the year! Fall Festival is a favorite for all ages, featuring a full day of seasonal-themed events and activities.
Join us for a day of river, meadow and wetland restoration. You will work side-by-side with other volunteers to plant plant native vegetation, improve wildlife habitat, and protect sensitive areas. Sponsored by the TRUCKEE RIVER WATERSHED COUNCIL. Pre-registration opens in mid-September.
Brought to you by The Village at Palisades Tahoe and Uncorked the 32nd Annual Alpen Wine Fest includes an all-inclusive wine tasting from over forty (40) exceptional wineries and live music. All proceeds benefit Can Do MS, a non-profit foundation that delivers health and wellness education programs to help families living with MS thrive. With a donation for your wine tasting ticket, attendees receive an Alpen Wine Fest wine glass, the all-inclusive tasting and live music from some of the region's best musicians. The event is open to all ages, however, you must be 21 years or older and present a valid ID to participate in the wine tasting.
Schaffer's Mill Golf & Lake Club will host the scramble-style tournaments with the return of the fun-filled awards dinner, multiple hole-in-one holes with incredible prizes, fun contest holes, special refreshments and an all-around good time!
Bring your child(ren) of any age by the new Town Corporation Yard for a hands-on, up close day with heavy equipment. Everyone will be able to explore the Town?s Corp Yard, Meet Smokey Bear, and visit the Humane Society/Town of Truckee Animal Shelter. Big Trucks will be on display (courtesy of local contractors & agencies) along with the CHP helicopter.

Join the Truckee Donner Railroad Society for a driving tour on the route of the Boca & Loyalton Railroad (1901-1916). See old railroad grade, remnants of old logging camps, lumber mills, and even an old trestle, collapsed in place. Part of the route is on rough unpaved roads, so an SUV or other high-clearance vehicle is advised.
Break out the big hats and bowties, brush off your seersucker suit, polish the silver julep cups, and prepare the mint! Hold your horses, place your bets, and join us for Truckee's run for the roses event of the year, celebrating our community with friends while raising money to support Truckee-Tahoe youth, seniors, and nonprofit organizations. This year's Cadillac Ball features Dinner by Billy McCullough of High Camp/Dragonfly Music by the Blues Monsters Photo Booth, Costume Contest, Crowning of the King & Queen Horseshoes and, of course, Horse Racing! Silent Auction, Raffle, and FUN, FUN, FUN!
Deemed ''the unicorn'' event of the year - if you don't go, you don't know - this outrageous and boisterous event includes spontaneous dancing, craft cocktails, beer and wine, and plenty of shenanigans. Every March, businesses and residents can purchase tables, donate, participate and advertise through this one-of-a-kind evening. Featuring a DJ, raffle prizes, and an impromptu dance competition, Cocktail Bingo is not your grandma's bingo game.
