Nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains, we are surrounded by beauty and inspiration. Sketching outdoors is a wonderful way to slow down from the hectic pace of daily life and study the world around us. Learn techniques of using pen and watercolor to create quick, loose interpretations of the mountain landscapes observed in the field. Local artist, Claire Lawrenson will teach her methods of field sketching, as well as tips & tricks to help participants feel comfortable leaving the convenience of home to sketch out in the world.
Great for all levels, from those who have never painted with watercolors to experienced artists interested in venturing out of the studio. Each participant will receive their very own outdoor watercolor kit ($55 value) to take home.
