Cornhole for a Cause

It doesn’t matter whether you have never played corn hole or are a seasoned expert, all you have to do is get the bag in the hole and come out to support Big Brothers Big Sisters on September 14. Cornhole, or “bags” as it is called in the Midwest, is a backyard lawn and tailgating game that anyone can play. Cornhole for a Cause Tournament, benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County and North Tahoe, is slated for September 14 at Katie’s playground at the Truckee Tahoe Airport.  The casual tournament starts at 4 pm and there will be plenty to eat and drink for registered teams. 
 
Welcome Home Miles for Mentoring Bike Ride
The event coincides with a “welcome home” for the bike riders finishing Hardy Bullock's Miles for Mentoring ride that starts in the morning. This is year-twelve for this grassroots B.B.B.S. fundraising ride that began with just 3 friends who had the desire to ride for a cause.  
 
Big Brothers Big Sisters Is Working In Our Community
B.B.B.S. is a national organization that works within the North Lake Tahoe communities, making a real difference in the lives and futures of children needing mentoring. Funds raised on September 14 will stay in the North Lake Tahoe region.  
 
Sponsorships Available 
There are unique sponsorship opportunities for companies that want to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. Sponsors receive logo’d corn hole boards that will be used in play during the tournament.  Sponsors also receive entry to the tournament (two teams of two) as well as meal and drink tickets. Mark your calendar for September 14 and put your teams together. Challenge your friends, neighbors, coworkers and begin practicing. Stay tuned for warm up nights planned over the summer.
