An Evening in Campania - Pop Up Dinner Party 1.12.18

Campania is a region in Southern Italy.  Few places in the world have such beautiful scenery as Naples and the Amalfi Coast, which also happens to have the highest concentration of Michelin starred restaurants in Europe outside of Paris and London.  Wine has been made in Campania for three millennia, making it one of Europe’s oldest viticultural regions. Enjoy an evening of specialty foods from this famous region along with wines from the Mustilli Family, a winery in Campania that has been producing since the 14^th century.  Friday evening’s Dinner Party will host winemaker Annachiara Mustilli where she will expertly pair her family’s wines with the evening’s meal, sharing stories and history from this celebrated food province.

Canapes

gonfietti; anchovy fritter, parsley salad, lemon aioli

flame broiled stuffed squid, red pepper and tomato sauce

classic neapolitan woodfired pizza margherita, san marzano tomato, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil 

First Course

seared rare albacore tuna on tomato-rubbed crostini, lemon and EVOO granita, charred lemon, haricot verts with anchovy dressing, frisee

Second Course

clams steamed in white wine with pancetta, pasta strozzapreti, in rich seafood consomme, capers

Entree

pan roasted leg of rabbit, cauliflower puree, woodfire roasted cherry tomatoes, herb roasted garlic, red wine reduction jus

Dessert

scazetta; limoncello soaked sponge cake layered with strawberry chantilly, strawberry glaze, aside pistachio gelato, shaved white chocolate.
