At Business Speaks discuss business challenges and share creative ideas with fellow business owners and managers in our community to help develop solutions for a strong economic future together! \n\n\n\nTimes:\n\nTuesday\, November 5th -  8:00 AM - 9:30 AM\n\nTuesday\, November 5th -  4:00 PM - 5:30 PM\n\nThursday\, November 7th -  8:00 AM - 9:30 AM\n\nThursday\, November 7th -  4:00 PM - 5:30 PM\n\n*Choose a date and time that works best for you. \n\nLocation:\n\nTruckee Donner Public Utility District\n\n- JUST 90 MINUTES -- Meetings last just 90 minutes and will be professionally facilitated with a format designed to allow businesses to speak candidly\, while fostering conversation that can lead to creative solutions.\n\n- ALL BUSINESSES WELCOME -- No membership necessary - storefronts\, brick & mortar\, home-based\, non-profits\, special districts -- all invited!\n\n- NETWORK with your business neighbors\n\n- MEETINGS ARE FREE!\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Business Speaks:\n\nBusiness Speaks is a program of Truckee Tomorrow\, a collaborative economic development initiative led by the Truckee Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Truckee and public/private partners dedicated to creating a diverse\, rising tide economy while maintaining and growing a vibrant\, diverse middle class.\n\nIn January 2018\, the Truckee Chamber launched Business Speaks\, convening the business community at quarterly gatherings to identify the greatest challenges facing the local business community and develop creative solutions. Through the input of over 625 businesses over the course of 32 Business Speaks meetings\, three projects were identified to tackle the issue of recruitment and retention\, and address the overarching goal:\n\n1 . Develop an Employer Co-op - designed to help employers find workers to fill jobs. \n\n2 . Growing Our Own - expanding on existing programs and identify creative opportunities for internships/apprenticeships\n\n3 . Develop Truckee as an Entrepreneur Ecosystem - a long-term\, forward-thinking approach to diversifying Truckee's economy\n\nAll business owners\, including home-based businesses\, are invited to attend a meeting. All meetings are inclusive\, you don't need to be a Chamber member to attend. Meetings will last just 90 minutes and will be professionally facilitated with a format designed to allow businesses to speak candidly\,  while fostering conversation that can lead to creative solutions.
