SUMMARY:Truckee 4th of July Parade
DESCRIPTION:Join us in Downtown Truckee for one of the community's most beloved traditions\, the Annual Truckee 4th of July Parade. This year's celebration is especially meaningful as communities across the country mark the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. While this milestone is national in scope\, Truckee's celebration will continue to focus on what makes our mountain town so special: neighbors coming together\, local organizations showing their pride\, and families lining the streets to celebrate community traditions.\n\n \n\nThe parade kicks off at 9:50 a.m. on Saturday\, July 4\, beginning at the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District Administrative Office and traveling approximately 1.5 miles along Donner Pass Road into historic Downtown Truckee. Each year the parade features creative floats\, live music\, youth groups\, classic cars\, and community organizations that showcase the creativity and hometown pride that define Truckee.\n\n\n\n \n\nBe Part of the Parade\n\nWatching the parade is fun\, but participating is even better.\n\nThe Truckee Chamber invites businesses\, nonprofits\, youth groups\, clubs\, and community members to join the celebration with floats\, marching groups\, classic vehicles\, or other creative entries.\n\nAwards and bragging rights will be presented for Best of Show as well as winners in several categories including Commercial\, Youth Group\, Classic Auto\, Open\, and Nonprofit.\n\nParade registration is now open . Click here!\n\n \n\nStart the Morning with Community Traditions\n\nTruckee's Fourth of July festivities begin well before the parade\, offering several ways to celebrate together.\n\nPancake Breakfast\n\nHosted by the Truckee Fire Protection District at Station 92 (11473 Donner Pass Road) from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m.\, this community favorite serves hot pancakes with butter and maple syrup. The breakfast is free\, with donations appreciated to support our local firefighters.\n\nFirecracker Mile Fun Run\n\nHosted by Auburn Ski Club Training Center\, this one mile gravity fed race begins at 9:40 a.m. at U.S. Bank and finishes downtown near the parade judges' stage. Participants of all ages are welcome to sprint\, jog\, or stroll\, and costumes are encouraged.\n\nVIP Parade Seating\n\nWant the best seat in town without arriving hours early? The Truckee Chamber will again offer VIP Parade Seating in front of the Truckee Welcome Center\, next to the judges' stage. Beginning at 9:00 a.m.\, guests can enjoy shaded seating\, coffee\, and light treats while watching the parade. Click here to register. \n\nSponsorship Opportunities\n\nLocal sponsors help make this cherished community event possible. Sponsoring the parade provides businesses with visibility in front of more than 14\,000 spectators while supporting one of Truckee's most treasured traditions. Sponsorship opportunities are available\, and businesses do not need to be Chamber members to participate.\n\n To sign up to sponsor click here. \n\n Come celebrate Independence Day in true Truckee style with community spirit\, creativity\, and hometown pride. \n\n The Truckee 4th of July Parade is produced by the Truckee Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Truckee\, with logistical support provided by Big Blue Adventure\, LLC.
