Join Bristlecone Film Collective and Tahoe Art Haus for the third and final screening in its inaugural summer film series, featuring the SXSW Audience Award-winning documentary The Ascent. The film follows climber Mandy Horvath, a bilateral amputee attempting to crawl on her hands to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro while confronting the traumatic and still-unanswered circumstances surrounding the night she lost both of her legs. The result is a powerful story of resilience, trust and pushing beyond perceived limits. Come early for live music, then settle in for the film. Casa Baeza will be onsite with food available for purchase, or bring your own snacks and drinks.
