Celebrate Latino Conservation Week with a day full of adventure! Participants in this bilingual event can expect a day full of adventure, learning and community. Scheduled activities for the day include rafting, a picnic, and a guided hike around Donner Lake. Are you a first time rafter!? No problem! We will have staff in the rafts guiding the experience. Expect to raft for 45-60 minutes while learning about the history of Donner Lake Memorial State Park and its importance to California and US History. During the guided hike you will travel on a relatively flat path around the lake learning about historical uses of native plants, trees and mushrooms. Or you may remain at the picnic area for community building games and activities. This is a free, family friendly event meant to combine community, adventure, and educations! Lunch will be provided. Parking will be free. Tickets are very limited so please only reserve if you are definitely joining us, one ticket per person. Waivers must be signed on the day of in order to participate in event.
