DESCRIPTION:Holiday shoppers who visit Truckee and North Tahoe businesses between Black Friday and Christmas Eve may be rewarded with a chance to win a seven-night Tahoe vacation accommodation package or a $500 cash prize. Show your love\; shop local!\n\n\n\nShoppers can enter the Shop Local Holiday Contest by picking up a contest card at participating retailers in Truckee\, Tahoe City\, West Shore\, Kings Beach\, Northstar\, Squaw Valley\, and Incline Village.\n\n\n\nFor every $25 spent at participating retailers\, shoppers will receive a contest card sticker. Each card with 12 stickers will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a North Lake Tahoe "Staycation\," including lodging\, dining and activities valued at $1500. Shoppers with four stickers will be entered into a drawing for a $500 cash prize. Enter as many times as you like. \n\n\n\nThe contest was designed to support local businesses\, reduce the carbon footprint of locals traveling outside of their community to shop\, and to protect the region's local character.\n\n\n\nMoney spent at local businesses recirculates through wages and taxes\, benefiting the economic health of the entire community and supporting unique local businesses. Last year\, the Shop Local Holiday Contest generated more than $400\,000 in revenue for local business.
