DESCRIPTION:Good Morning Truckee will bring speakers on two different topics:\n\n\n\nStorm frequency or intensity How much is caused by human-induced global warming? How do you mitigate the effects of climate change and adapt to a new baseline climate? Derek Larson has been a professor at Sierra College since 2000   his newest course is called "Energy\, Environment and Climate." Derek will cover climate change and clarify the science behind it. Derek studied climate\, earth systems\, and oceanography at Stanford University.\n\n\n\nSecond\, Hardy Bullock\, Director of Aviation & Community Services for the Truckee Tahoe Airport District\, will explain an advanced air traffic control system called ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast). The Truckee Tahoe Airport District is studying the possibility of implementing ADS-B technology. Hardy will provide information about how this new technology can provide safety\, reduction of community annoyance\, enhanced situational awareness\, and better operational data to make the airport ready to meet the transportation needs of the community.\n\n\n\nBook ahead online and breeze through the check-in line to get breakfast and a seat faster. You can also purchase multi-packs of tickets for your convenience   which can also get you checked-in quicker. And\, as always\, you can still purchase your ticket at the door with cash\, credit card or check.\n\n\n\nGood Morning Truckee is open to the public   everyone is invited. It is held the second Tuesday of every month at Truckee Tahoe Airport from 7:00-8:30am. Ticket price for general public is $12\; Truckee Chamber members $10 and includes a hot breakfast and raffle ticket.
