DESCRIPTION:Back for its 14th year\, the Alpenglow Winter Film Series will be showcasing the outdoor industry's most respected athletes. Hear from these professionals as they share stories of their incredible adventures in the mountains. Many of these shows are a rare opportunity to meet and hear from these talented athletes. Doors open at 7pm at the Olympic Village Lodge and shows are free.\nThis event has raised over $170\,000 for local non-profits in the North Lake Tahoe community.\n\nJim Morrison\n\nBenefits Achieve Tahoe\n\nBased in Tahoe City\, California\, Morrison has spent his entire life skiing and climbing in the Sierra Nevada. He and his brother\, John\, also an accomplished mountain athlete\, grew up in Walnut Creek\, three hours from Squaw Valley\, skiing and chasing the likes of Scot Schmidt every weekend through high school. Jim started spending ski seasons in Squaw in 1990\, eventually settling there permanently. Known for his big heart and big engine\, Jim quietly excels in most feats he attempts\, whether it's an Ironman triathlon or climbing El Capitan in Yosemite all while running his own custom home construction business in Tahoe. As a premier member of the The North Face athlete roster\, Jim is the recent first descentionist of the coveted Lhotse Couloir.
